Krishna Jungle Resort
The Kanha National Park (Madhya Pradesh, India) is a jungle lodges located in
the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh that covers nearly 2,000 sq. km of undulating
country. These grasslands are interspersed with forests of sal, teeming with
varieties of deer the barasingha, chital (spotted deer), chousingha, nilgai,
the gaur (Indian bison) and wild pig, is 'tiger country'. Kanha is the home
to 'hard ground' barasingha (cervus duvauceli branderi) the only surviving population
of this Central Indian sub-species.
Located in the buffer zone of Kanha National Park is The Krishna Jungle resort
The resort is located very close to the entrance giving unique opportunities
to enjoy wildlife.
The animals at Kanha are best observed from elephant back & jeeps. Deer
are seen along the maidans and gaur at Bamhnidadar or in the Bishanpura-Sondhar-Ghorella
area of the Mukki range. This area is also ideal for spotting the dhole or
wild dog. Langurs, wild boar, water fowl and birds are also commonly seen.
