North India Wildlife Safari
Duration : 15 Nights / 16 Days
Destination Covered : Delhi - Corbett - Delhi - Sariska - Jaipur - Ranthambore
- Bharatpur - Agra - Delhi
Day 1 : Delhi
Arrive Delhi and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 : Corbett National Park
Early departure for 6 hrs drive to Corbett National Park, with afternoon jeep/elephant
safari. The park is situated in the northern region, at the foothills of the
Himalaya. The forest belt from here along the Terai region is one of the finest
habitats of the tiger. Spreading across 521 sq. km. Corbett Park has the river
Ramganga weaving its way through it. The flora has a predominance of sal trees
and besides being home for the tiger, it also houses leopards, sloth bears,
elephants, hog deer, barking deer and other species. The two lesser cats of
the park are the attractive leopard and jungle cats. Within the waters of
the river live the Gharial and Marsh crocodile. The avifauna includes the
startling Grey Jungle Fowl and the Great Pied Hornbill.
Day 3 and 4 : Corbett National Park
Full days at in Corbett National park with 2 in park rides.
Day 5 : Delhi
Drive back to Delhi and check into Hotel.
Day 6 : Sariska National Park
After breakfast we start with a 4 hrs drive to the Sariska National Park and
on arrival, check into your hotel. Sariska consists of a mixture of open plains
and forest offering good evening/night viewing of Sambar (largest Indian deer),
cheetal (spotted deer), nilgai (Indian antelope), blackbuck, leopard, tiger,
jungle cat, jackal and hyena. We are also likely to see crocodiles as well
as many species of birds. After lunch, we drive inside the Park in jeeps to
watch for wildlife in the early evening.
Day 7 : Sariska National Park
All day at Sariska with 2 in park visits.
Day 8 : Jaipur
After breakfast, we depart for a 3 hrs drive to Jaipur, and check into your
hotel. On the way, we visit Amber Fort on the outskirts of Jaipur. In the
afternoon sightseeing tour to City Palace, Observatory and Museum.
Day 9 : Ranthambore
After breakfast, depart for a 4 hrs drive to Ranthambore (Sawai Madhopur)
Tiger Reserve and check into hotel\lodge. Ranthambore is famous for its tigers.
As a result of strict preservation, tigers have become more active during
the day and are quite unperturbed by human presence, hence it is probably
the best park in which to sight one. A large population of panthers, sambar,
chinkara, sloth bears and marsh crocodiles provide further features. The park
is also very rich in Indian birdlife.
Day 10 and 11 : Ranthambore
Two full days in Ranthambore with two inpark tours.
Day 12 : Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
Drive for 6 hrs from Ranthambore to the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (Ghana National
Park) and check into the Hotel\ Lodge. Once the finest wildfowl hunting preserve
in North India, Bharatpur is now Indias most outstanding bird sanctuary
and plays host to many migrant species from Siberia and China, including the
Siberian Crane as well as many terrestrial birds. Large rock pythons can be
seen sunning themselves at Python Point.
Day 13 : Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
Full day programe in the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Bicycles are available
for hire to ride on the forest trails.
Day 14 : Delhi - Agra
4 hrs drive back to Delhi and check into hotel. Afternoon free. OR depart
for Agra via Fatehpur Sikri for Taj Mahal visit, overnight in Agra.
Day 15 : Delhi
In Delhi with full day city sightseeing OR return from Agra to New Delhi.
Day 16 : Delhi
Depart New Delhi.
